TOP Server TIWAY Host Adapter OPC Driver
Reliable Connectivity for Siemens/TI Controllers via TIWAY
The TOP Server® TIWAY Host Adapter Driver provides a communication interface to Siemens TIWAY compatible controllers with the same level of performance, stability and ease of configuration as any other TOP Server driver.
This driver provides data exchange between OPC UA, OPC DA, SuiteLink and DDE clients and TIWAY Secondary Devices supporting the Non-Intelligent Terminal Protocol (NITP) using the TIWAY Hostlink or Unilink Host Adapter to bridge from the TIWAY network to a serial connection on the PC. The driver also supports the use of Ethernet Gateways/Terminal servers attached to the serial port of the TIWAY adapter.
The driver makes requests to the TIWAY Host Adapter unit, which then forwards the request on to the actual network. When a response is received, the Host Adapter returns the response to the driver. The driver can be configured to control the behavior of the adapter, or the adapter can be configured with DIP switches on the unit to tell the driver to respect these settings. Once connected to a TIWAY 1 network, the driver can communicate with up to 254 secondary devices. Data acquisition is optimized based on upstream client demand while data integrity is ensured using extensive error handling.
NOTE: This software makes a serial connection to the Hostlink or Unilink Host Adapter interface to the TIWAY network - this software does not support the TIWAY card that goes into your computer.

The demo is the full product once licensed. Once a client application connects to the TOP Server, the TOP Server runtime will operate for 2 hours at a time. At the end of the 2 hour demo period, the demo timer must be reset by restarting the TOP Server runtime service.
