Easy Identification of the Right LGH Files and Data Query Granularity
Pick your query start date on the calendar- Or Pick an LGH file to see what date the data starts with.
- Once you’ve picked your Query Begin Time, set the Query Duration you want in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months
- Set your Query Interval in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months to get a close view or high level view of the data
- Automated queries will dynamically update their date ranges based on when they are run

Searchable Tag Lists for Rapid Selection
Once you've set your timeframe for your query, and LGH file inspector has given you the list of available tags across the fileset, showing you dates with missing data, etc. you can pick the tags to query. Using Shift+Click and Ctrl+Click, plus the matching search capability, you drag and drop the tags to the lower query window. You can save your query for re-use and/or later editing.
Run Your Query & View Results
Click the Run Query button to generate a preview of your results, and then once you like those results you can send them to the supported formats, make adjustments to your settings, or use the advanced settings to setup your query for use as a scheduled job.
Exports from basic to sophisticated
LGH File Inspector does a lot more than just export data and make Excel worksheets.

CSV Universal Export Format
LGH File Inspector supports on-demand or scheduled/automated exports to the well known, universally compatible CSV format

For example, you could automate a query to extract the previous hour’s worth of data and include the query beginning date and time in the filename. Each hour, the query would execute and export the results to a new CSV file with a unique filename that represents the time frame of the data it contains. File names would look like the following assuming a query base filename of C:\ InTouchData.CSV. The date format is configurable using a setting in the app config file covered in the LGH File Inspector documentation.

Store as many file places as you want and edit them after creation. File Places also lets you store the timezone for those files. Handling the reality of data gaps
We know that everything in the real world is not perfect, and LGH File Inspector can handle the inevitable source data gaps.
- Blackout dates on the calendar show you where there are gaps in your LGH files so that you can either go back to the source and make sure you have all the files, or easily know where you will have gaps in the data in your query
- Exclude blank rows option allows you to skip reporting for time periods with no data for any of the tags in your query.
