Bring device values, alarms, and events into your own application using the appropriate OPC Data Client edition.
Use OPC Wizard to make your .NET application's data available to compatible OPC UA clients.
Use OPC Data Client Ultimate to receive datasets over MQTT or UDP, with supported JSON and UADP mappings.
Manage compatible TOP Server and KEPServerEX configurations from your workstation with permissions and optional change auditing.
OPC Tools brings together development toolkits and a configuration utility. Start with what your application needs to do.
Your software needs to read, write, or subscribe to data from existing OPC servers.
Other systems need to access the data inside your custom .NET application over OPC UA.
Your engineers need to configure compatible OPC servers remotely from their workstations.
Connect your code to industrial data.
Let the toolkit manage the OPC details.
Read, write, and subscribe using OPC UA or OPC DA. Add A&E, XML-DA, UA Methods, and other functionality through the appropriate edition.
Let the toolkit manage connections, recovery, and subscriptions, so your application can concentrate on what the data means.
Use procedural code, live binding, live mapping, or reactive models where supported by your edition and platform.
Start with included projects and documentation for common development scenarios, instead of creating every connection from scratch.
Automatic recovery and persistent subscriptions reduce the connection plumbing your team needs to maintain. Your code still controls application logic and handles errors.
See How Connection Management WorksC# and VB.NET developers can use supported .NET runtimes. Python.NET and COM-based language options depend on the edition and development platform. Selected OPC UA scenarios support Linux; Classic OPC DA and A&E use Windows COM technology.
Choose the edition around the features and runtime you need. For example, PubSub is an Ultimate feature, and COM/non-.NET language support is part of Enterprise and Ultimate.

Add an OPC UA server interface to a custom .NET application and expose application values to client systems.
Allow your server to register with an OPC UA Local Discovery Server, helping clients discover available applications.
Use the available Windows administration dialog and configure user interaction to suit your application.
Work from more than 60 code samples, supported .NET development tools, and API documentation.
OPC Wizard is designed for supported Windows and .NET environments. Check the version-specific specifications before choosing a runtime or development tool. Developer seats and runtime distribution are separate licensing considerations; confirm terms for commercial redistribution.

Create and edit channels, devices, and tags on compatible servers, subject to the permissions assigned to each user.
Use the server's User Manager to control which configuration functions an engineer is authorized to perform.
Use SSL/TLS-protected connections for remote configuration within your network, without relying on remote desktop sessions.
Record configuration changes, user identities, and timestamps in a central SQL database when auditing is enabled.
Work from your local PC without adding a separate configuration agent to a compatible OPC server installation.
Manage supported server platforms using a consistent configuration workflow across distributed installations.

Choose OPC Data Client to build an application that connects to OPC servers. Choose OPC Wizard to add an OPC UA server interface to your own .NET software. Choose the OPC Server Remote Configuration Client to administer compatible OPC server configurations without building a new application.
OPC Data Client covers OPC UA, OPC DA, OPC Alarms & Events, and OPC XML-DA. Additional OPC UA features include Methods, Alarms & Conditions, Complex Data, and PubSub, depending on the edition. Use the edition comparison to confirm the features required by your project.
Yes. The toolkit manages connection creation and recovery and maintains subscriptions internally. It also includes optimizations such as grouped operations and connection sharing. Your application should still handle operation errors and apply the recovery behavior appropriate to its use case.
OPC Data Client supports selected Windows and Linux development scenarios, subject to edition, runtime, language, and OPC interface. Classic OPC DA and A&E depend on Windows COM technology. OPC Wizard's published platform requirements list Windows. Check the current specifications for your target environment.
OPC Data Client Ultimate supports OPC UA PubSub datasets over supported MQTT and UDP transports, including JSON and UADP mappings. This is OPC UA PubSub functionality; confirm the format used by your publisher against the toolkit documentation.
The published trial allows a 30-minute connection period. After the timer expires, the application must be restarted. Trial builds also have a version-based expiration date. The download page provides the current limitations and included components.
OPC Data Client and OPC Wizard are licensed per developer. The listed licenses include one year of support and maintenance. Runtime distribution rights depend on the application and license terms; contact Software Toolbox about commercial redistribution, ISV, additional developer, or site licensing.
The listed Pro Edition options are per-user subscriptions for a single location. Subscription use requires renewal at the end of the term. Multi-user, enterprise, and perpetual options can be discussed with Software Toolbox.
