The Cutler-Hammer ELC Serial Driver works in conjunction with TOP Server® to provide data exchange between OPC UA, OPC DA, SuiteLink and DDE clients and Cutler-Hammer and Eaton PLCs using the Cutler-Hammer ELC Modbus or Modbus ASCII Protocol over Serial or Ethernet Gateway/Terminal server connections. Data acquisition is optimized based on upstream client demand while data integrity is ensured using extensive error handling.
