The GE Ethernet Global Data driver works in conjunction with TOP Server® to provide data exchange between OPC UA, OPC DA, SuiteLink and DDE clients and GE PLCs via the GE Ethernet Global Data (EGD) protocol. It supports Producer and Consumer connections and can also act as a standalone EGD device — allowing any PC to function as an EGD device using Unicast or Multicast UDP.
This driver is available in the following TOP Server driver suites: TOP Server GE Suite, TOP Server Manufacturing Suite.
Proven benefits that help you deploy faster and operate more reliably
Full support for both Producer and Consumer EGD connections for flexible data exchange architectures
Any PC running TOP Server can act as a standalone EGD device using Unicast or Multicast UDP packets
Supports both Unicast and Multicast UDP Ethernet connections for versatile network topologies
Automatic tag database generation via CSV import for rapid deployment and configuration
