The AutomationDirect ECOM Ethernet driver works in conjunction with TOP Server® to provide data exchange between OPC UA, OPC DA, SuiteLink and DDE clients and devices supporting the AutomationDirect ECOM protocol via the various Hx-ECOM Ethernet communications modules (i.e. H0-ECOM, H2-ECOM, H4-ECOM) over UDP Ethernet connections. Data acquisition is optimized based on upstream client demand while data integrity is ensured using extensive error handling.
