What's needed to run a trial?

The requirements to run a basic trial system and what will be needed for a scaled up system of course can vary since each user's application is different.  Here are the basic requirements:

• Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit or Windows Server 2012 64-bit / 2012 R2 64-bit / 2016 64-bit / 2019 64-bit
  • You do NOT need to have IIS installed, Flow self-hosts it's webserver using .NET Core with the items below, and port used is configurable.
• .NET Framework 4.8 or higher
• .NET Core Runtime 3.1.x (x64)  - please download the "Windows Hosting Bundle" ASP.NET Core Runtime 
• Microsoft Universal C runtime update #2999226
• SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019 for Flow database - Express Edition is fine for starter/trial systems. 
• Chrome, Edge or Safari web browser
• System or virtual with 6-8 Gb memory
• If connecting to AVEVA Historian prior to the 2017 version as a data source, you also will need Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4
