chatUNS.ai connects to any industrial data source: a unified namespace over MQTT, an established data platform or historian, and, as of August 2026, any system exposing CESMII's newly released i3X (Industrial Information Interoperability eXchange) standard. i3X is the open, vendor-agnostic API for contextualized manufacturing information, backed by more than 40 manufacturing technology providers, and chatUNS.ai supports it from day one.
From copilot to autopilot
Once connected, chatUNS.ai's new autopilot reasons across every available data source in real time, hunting for operational issues that warrant attention. In a recent enterprise demonstration, a single click surfaced four issues spanning multiple sites: a pump bearing fault, an elevated scrap rate on a press, a degraded power factor, and a filler sitting idle.
Agents that never sleep, with humans in command
Version 3 introduces provisioned agents: digital workers that monitor, reason, and act around the clock, escalating every critical decision to human experts for approval. chatUNS.ai suggests each agent's objective, key actions, and the data it should watch, turning operators and engineers into managers of agents. Agents deliver summaries, write-ups, or charts on any cadence, routed to the right people through the right channel: a text alert for maintenance, an email summary for supervisors.
Expert questions, grounded answers, deep visuals
To investigate any issue, users select a topic in the namespace and click once to generate the questions an expert operator would ask, with no typing required. Answers arrive in root-cause-analysis format, grounded in the semantic structure of the unified namespace to eliminate hallucination. chatUNS.ai ships with skills for deeply technical manufacturing visualizations, including OEE build-downs, cycle-time whisker plots, downtime Pareto charts, fishbone diagrams, and Weibull maintenance analyses, each a single click away.
Data need not be perfect to begin. chatUNS.ai reasons across silos via i3X and, wherever it finds gaps, recommends amendments to the customer's data plan, creating a continuous feedback loop with the teams who can capture and add data over time.
Enterprise data and security from day one
Do-it-yourself, vibe-coded AI is fine for prototyping, but it will not scale and it will not pass an IT review. chatUNS.ai provides role management and access controls across data sources and topics; full audit trails covering agents created, agentic runs, and agent costs; connector management and configurable model endpoints for customers with negotiated cloud workloads; and configurable retention policies. chatUNS.ai does not train on customer data and has no access to the OT control loop.
